KTM/FMF Motocross Fan Experience

KTM and FMF have again partnered together with MX Sports Pro Racing to bring KTM Motocross fans the ultimate viewing experience - The “KTM/FMF Motocross Fan Experience”. The events will take place this summer and in conjunction with four rounds of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship Series.  The KTM/FMF Motocross Fan Experience, which sold out at both venues last year, is a KTM exclusive trackside seating area and all-day VIP access offered to KTM fans and owners.

The events will take place at the Hangtown Motocross Classic (5/22/10), Thunder Valley MX Park (6/26/10), Red Bud Motocross Championship (7/3/10) and the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship season finale at Steel City on September 4, 2010. Tickets are now available for purchase.

With each ticket purchase fans will receive:

* Free parking for all participants – includes special motor home parking for the     first 30 KTM/FMF fans that show up on the day of the race (does not include camping fees)

* Free catered lunch

* Access to KTM exclusive trackside seating area with Live Timing Screens

“KTM and FMF were determined to bring fans a pass that lets them live the day in a life of a factory team rider or member. This pass gives you everything – all day admission and pit access, free parking and great seating. Not to mention a free BBQ lunch! This opportunity is too good to pass up,” commented KTM President Jon-Erik Burleson.

A package of this type typically runs for over a $200 value. KTM has partnered with MX Sports to subsidize the tickets for KTM fans and owners and will be offering tickets for only $85.00. A very limited amount of tickets are available per event.

mx775.com Graphics!

Check out the cool new mx775.com shroud graphics I got the other day from Speed Designs:

Aside from looking cool, the graphics were cut perfectly and went on silky smooth, which is not always a given in the graphics game.

You too can have mx775.com graphics--or, if you're some kind of individualist, graphics with your own logo--by getting in touch with Speed Designs at www.speedesigns.net or by calling them at 775-828-3665.

Glen Helen National Cancelled

**Press release from MX Sports**

MORGANTOWN, W.V. – MX Sports Pro Racing announced today the postponement of the Glen Helen round of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, citing contractual differences with the promoter of the San Bernardino, Calif., facility. The second-round event, which was originally scheduled for Glen Helen Raceway on May 29, 2010, is now being slated for September 11.

“This was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we simply were not able to come to contractual terms with Glen Helen Raceway,” said Davey Coombs, Vice President of MX Sports Pro Racing. “By moving the date to September 11, we will have time to find a suitable venue. Riders, teams and fans are making travel plans now and we want them to feel secure that we will have an exceptional venue ready in Southern California. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change.”

MX Sports Pro Racing does not intend to fill the date of May 29 and will opt to leave the remaining series dates intact, giving competitors and teams Memorial Day weekend off. Details for the September 11 event will be announced soon.

The revised 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Schedule is:

Rd 1 May 22 Hangtown Classic Sacramento, CA
Rd 2 Jun 5 Freestone Raceway Wortham, TX
Rd 3 Jun 12 High Point Raceway Mt. Morris, PA
Rd 4 Jun 19 Budds Creek Motocross Mechanicsville, MD
Rd 5 Jun 26 Thunder Valley Motocross Lakewood, CO
Rd 6 Jul 3 RedBud Buchanan, MI
Rd 7 Jul 17 Spring Creek Motocross Millville, MN
Rd 8 Jul 24 Washougal MX Park Washougal, WA
Rd 9 Aug 14 Unadilla New Berlin, NY
Rd 10 Aug 28 Moto-X 338 Southwick, MA
Rd 11 Sept 4 Steel City Raceway Delmont, PA

Racing fans that have purchased advanced tickets or camping passes to this event should contact Glen Helen at www.glenhelen.com.

Jesse Masterpool

As you may know, Jesse Masterpool, the talented young Suzuki amateur star and former Sparks resident, is in a tough spot right now. Following a severe crash in Texas at the Lake Whitney amateur national, Jesse remains in critical condition as a result of brain trauma.

I had the pleasure of knowing and watching Jesse while he was a local, and I always found him to be a tremendous talent and a great kid too. Please keep Jesse and his family in your thoughts and prayers during these critical next few days, and keep an eye on www.jessemasterpool.com for the latest updates on his condition.
