The Mammoth Mountain MX Tally
2005 Mammoth, California; June 16-26, 2005

Northern Nevada riders represented themselves well at the 2005 Mammoth Mountain Motocross, claiming high finishes in a variety of classes on the epic hillside circuit.

Aron Harvey of Carson City delivered perhaps the most noteworthy performance as he delivered top-six finishes in the 125cc, 250cc and Open Intermediate classes. Harvey earned his highest finish in the hyper-competitive 125cc race, coming home fourth behind Josh Hill, Jarred Browne and Kevin Rookstool.

Tony Evans and J.L. Bitz scored top-20 tallies in the Pro-class finals, with Evans scoring 14th in the 250cc main event and Bitz taking 20th in the 125cc final. And Steve Garnett put in a solid fifth overall against McGrath and a number of other legends in the Vet Pro standings.

Tyler York and Errol Kerr both earned top-10 Junior-class postings. York earned his via a sixth-place finish in the 250cc division while Kerr scored a seventh in the 125cc class.

But the mini classes featured the highest concentration of northern Nevada pilots in the top ten. Aaron Siminoe led the way with a second-place finish in the 65cc 9-11 race and a fifth-place result in the 85cc 9-11 contest. Younger brother Ty Siminoe landed a fifth-place tally of his own in the 65cc 9-11 contest and Jesse Masterpool came in just behind him in the final results with a sixth overall. Brian Sjogren ended with a sixth in the 85cc 9-11 race and Dakota May grabbed a tenth in the 85cc 12-13 event.

All together, northern Nevada riders earned five top-five finishes and an additional seven top-ten results.
